The SV Polaris is a Dufour Classic 43 (1999). She is powered by a Volvo Penta MD20 - 43kw. 

The boat has a length of 43ft / 13.05m and a width of 4.30m

We can hold 180l of diesel and 480l of water. Our Lifepo4 batteries have a capacity of 560AH.

The shore power charger charges with 50A, our solar system has 440 watt points.

Combined, we supply ourselves self-sufficiently with our wind generator "SuperWind" with its 350 watts.

We obtain fresh water from the sea via our "Schenker Zen 30" desalination plant.

The boat also has a tap for filtered drinking water irradiated with UV light.

Our four cabins, one with bunk beds, can accommodate up to eight people. The upholstery was renewed in May 2023.

All cabins are equipped with USB sockets.

The yacht has two bathrooms and has recently enjoyed a refit.

The pantry has an oven with two burners, the refrigerator has plenty of space for drinks.

Our navigation table is equipped with a multifunction display for map applications and radar.

The system is supplemented by an active AIS (collision prevention) which transmits the ship's position.

Furling mainsail and genoa are from Elvström and were made in Split (Croatia).

They have been in use since 2017 and are revised annually.

We have owned an Oxley "Bora" since spring 2022.

Our sails were supplemented by a storm sail in May 2023.

The associated cutter stay is made of Dyneema rope which is only attached when necessary.

A jib completed our sailing equipment in October 2023.

Our anchor winch with an output of 1500 watts was exchanged in June 2020.

It's chain (60m) is made of stainless steel.

The dinghy has a comfortable aluminum hull. It is powered by a 2.5kw Mercury outboard motor.

The helm station including instruments and autopilot was completely renewed in August 2022.

We again rely on Raymarine.

The multifunction display can also show radar.

There are also two USB ports at the helm.
